New Feature: Customizable Homepages

We’ve added a new feature that allows our customers to easily configure custom homepages for their mobile apps. This allows zoo visitors to quickly access maps, schedules, and other handy info for the day; and because SmartParks is web-based, you’re not just limited to linking within your app. This is a great place to link to ticketing, mobile food ordering, and other websites you may want to direct your guests to during their visits.

Here are some examples of homepages our customers have created so far.

Notice Cincinnati Zoo added many different maps. That’s because with SmartParks, you’re not limited to just one map in your mobile app! You can create all kinds of specialty maps to give your guests different options for navigating the zoo.

The Bronx Zoo has already used this feature to create a custom homepage for their Brew at the Zoo. For special events like this, it’s easy to temporarily swap out your regular daily homepage with another one you’ve configured ahead of time.

For more info about how to use this feature, go to our support documentation section.

Our app homepages are a perfect destination for QR codes and vanity URLs that you’re promoting throughout your facility. Instead of sending your visitors to a bunch of different places, you can consolidate that traffic to one destination that becomes a jumping off place. For example, instead of promoting another QR code and/or URL for a guest survey, add it to your mobile app homepage where you’re already driving traffic. When the survey is done, you can replace that spot with something else.
